Mr. Burgess has been practicing law since 2002 and has been given the Martindale Hubbell “AV” designation by his peers for being a Preeminent Attorney in his field. He has been recognized as a Top Attorney in San Francisco Magazine and is author to several articles published in the acclaimed California Real Property Journal.

In 2013 and again in 2015 Mr. Burgess received the Client Distinction Award as recognized by Martindale Hubbell. He is also an active litigator with considerable trial experience in the areas of business, municipal matters, and real estate law. He presently belongs to the California State Bar Real Property, Business and Litigation Sections.

He is also a member of International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy Alumni Network, and a past member of the Association of Defense Counsel for Northern California and Nevada, and serves as City Attorney to entities within the Northern California region.

Mr. Burgess resides in Shasta County with his wife and three sons. In his spare time he enjoys mountain biking, fly-fishing on the Upper Sacramento River, and spending time with his family.
